Compliance
How I shoot compliantly.
The standards every Ziegler Media Co cannabis shoot follows, so your photos pass review the first time.
This page explains how I work. It isn’t legal advice. Ohio’s cannabis rules are set by the Division of Cannabis Control and can change, so your compliance lead or attorney always has final say on what gets published.
On set
- I never handle product. Your staff places, moves, and opens everything.
- Your visitor rules come first. I sign in, wear a badge, and stay with an escort wherever your procedures require it.
- Restricted areas stay restricted. We agree on which rooms can be photographed before the shoot, and security equipment, license numbers, and tracking tags are kept out of frame unless you want them in.
In the photos
- No consumption. Nobody smoking, vaping, dabbing, or eating product on camera.
- No one who could look under 21. Team and model photos are adults only.
- Nothing aimed at kids. No cartoons, candy look-alikes, toys, or bright props that read as childish.
- No claims. I don’t add health, medical, or effect claims to captions, alt text, or file names.
After the shoot
- You approve everything before it’s published anywhere, including my portfolio.
- NDA friendly. Unreleased products can stay private until your launch date.
- Clean files. File names use SKU and strain only, which keeps uploads simple for your menu team.
